Payment of contributions and support during the crisis
The board of SG Motor Cunewalde decided at the extended board meeting on 29 March 2021 to collect the annual fee that had been suspended so far at the beginning of May. The fee will be collected by direct debit as either an annual or a semi-annual payment, depending on individual agreement. Despite the almost complete restrictions on training and competition activities, our sports club has ongoing costs to cover and we do not expect any additional support from the state.
With the temporary suspension of fee collection we hoped to have given some financial leeway to those members who are particularly affected by the various burdens of the pandemic measures. Furthermore, we also wanted to use this to symbolically thank our members for their loyalty in this difficult situation. In today’s times it is unfortunately not a given to expect more than a kind of service from a club membership. What we as the board of SG Motor have been able to experience so far is the often-invoked sense of solidarity. The idea of any club lives only from and with its members.
By forgoing the sport that unites us, we will continue to do our part to overcome the pandemic, even if it is becoming increasingly difficult.
The board, the department heads and the auditing committee would like to sincerely thank you, the active members and supporters, for your understanding and your loyalty to SG Motor. It is wonderful that you are supporting our club even in this difficult time. Everyone who contributes here is extremely important to us.
Many members have told us that they are eagerly waiting to be active again. We are confident that we will overcome this difficult period together and be able to do sports together again in the future.
As those responsible, we will do our part to ensure that our club weathers this phase—unique in the club’s history—well, and we hope for the right strategies and decisions from political leaders and thus for the survival of our traditional sporting community.
With sporting regards
