Cunewalder football tournament HALLElujah 2024 with the F-Jugend
On Sunday afternoon the F-youth team was finally able to show their skills at the Netto-Cup of HALLElujah.
In the very first match SG Motor Cunewalde 1 lost to the footballers from Gaußig; after a win against SV Oberland Spree, two draws followed against Sportclub Großschweidnitz-Löbau and FSV Budissa Bautzen e.V. Unfortunately, this meant the semi-final was missed.
The second team of our SG Motor Cunewalde did better: a win against GFC Rauschwalde and a draw against Königswarthaer SV earned our colours 4 points, which were enough to qualify for the semi-final.
The Cunewalde F1 defeated Königswarthaer SV in the match for 5th place in a nine-metre shootout.
The eventual tournament winner gave our Cunewalde F2 no chance in the semi-final and secured a place in the final with a 3:0. After that the energy was gone and they also lost the third-place match to the Budissen from Bautzen.
Our Lennox Reise was chosen for the All-Star-Team!
We congratulate SV Gaußig on winning the tournament.
Thanks to all helpers who supported and assisted us at the tournament! That's what club work is all about.
Thanks to all players, coaches, parents and fans.
The SG Motor Cunewalde were once again able to put in a strong showing both regionally and beyond.
We thank our sponsors and supporters.
