Cunewalde The E youth team visits TSV 1861 Spitzkunnersdorf
After a good week without tournaments, we set off early this morning to the E-Jugend Budenzauber in picturesque Seifhennersdorf.
For our „Jungen Wilden“ most of the teams were uncharted territory; after all, you don’t often play against teams from the Oberlausitz Staffel. It quickly became clear that we had to be counted among the frontrunners. After 3 wins with a whopping 29:0 goals we finished the group stage in 1st place!
The semi-final against SpG Seifhennersdorf/ SG Leutersdorf I also went to plan. With good passing and plenty of power in our actions, we deservedly progressed to the final after a 6:0.
There we met SV Liegau-Augustusbad 1951 e.V., who had also remained unbeaten up to that point. In a really exciting final marked by many duels we suddenly found ourselves 0:1 down after 4 minutes. For the remaining 6 minutes it was all one-way traffic, but the Liegau side defended very passionately and with a lot of heart. Unfortunately our „Jungen Wilden“ were unable to score the equaliser, so in the end we had to settle for 2nd place!
But HEY, that’s football and that’s why we love it; our congratulations go to SV Liegau- Augustusbad on the (not entirely undeserved) tournament victory.
With Moritz Bonk we also provided the tournament’s top scorer.
1. SV Liegau- Augustusbad
2. SG Motor Cunewalde
3. SpG Seifhennersdorfer Sportverein e.V./ SG Leutersdorf I.
4. Eigenscher Fußballverein 2003 Bernstadt/ Dittersbach e.V.
5. FC Oberlausitz Neugersdorf e.V.
6. SpG Seifhennersdorfer SV/ SG Leutersdorf II.
7. TSG Hainewalde
8. TSV 1861 Spitzkunnersdorf e.V.
Our thanks go to the footballers, coaches and the many supporters of the Jungen Wilden.
MANY THANKS to TSV 1861 Spitzkunnersdorf for the lovely tournament and all the best to you for the second half of the season
