Youth Club Table Tennis Championship
On December 9, 2024, the youth club championship for all children who either take part in the youth league competition of our Abteilung Tischtennis der SG Motor Cunewalde or have not yet played league matches was held in the Sporthalle am Erlebnisbad under the direction of our youth officer Ralf Weickert. Anton Lüdecke, Matteo Hans, Moritz Bansemeier, Luca Ben Reichardt and the only 10-year-old Benjamin (in the photo from left to right) competed in the club tournament in a round-robin format for the best placements.
Anton won the gold medal and became youth club champion; Matteo took silver, and Moritz finished third and received the bronze medal. Luca placed fourth, Benjamin fifth.
On December 12, 2024, during a lovely Christmas celebration at the Kegelbahn — many thanks to the Abteilung Kegeln — the awards ceremony was presented by our department head Michael Otto and youth officer Ralf Weickert. All participants received certificates and two small nice gifts. The top three places were awarded trophies and medals. Congratulations! With his win, Anton also qualified for the adult club tournament on December 28, 2024. Wishing all the children continued enjoyment in table tennis!
