Satisfied faces after the Bergmannscup 2022 in Laubusch
Sunday morning marked our first tournament as the "new" F-youth team.
After the last five training sessions together (new coaches, new kids) we of course want to gather as much match practice as possible. What better than a classy tournament appearance at the traditional Bergmannscup of Seenlandkicker ☝️😎☀️⚽️?!
With a convoy of 7 cars 🦾🦾🦾 we left punctually at 07:15 for the picturesque Laubusch. The youngsters' excitement was obvious, and with 14 teams registered 🔝 (13 in the end) there would really be enough playing time for everyone. The two new coaches Markus Bärsch and Dirk Scharschuch were able to draw on the full squad. As a "small" reinforcement we brought Theo and Moritz (both born in 2013) on board.
The draw placed us in Group A, but big names did not intimidate the "young wild ones". The first matches were all lost, however (0:3 Budissa Bautzen, 1:3 BSW Lausitz and 1:3 Hertha Hornow). BUT the first much-celebrated goal was scored by Pino Krause 👏😍 — what a moment…
There was a clear improvement from game to game and then it happened as it had to…. THE FIRST WIN 🦾😍 !!! We beat FC Lauchhammer 4:2 and you could already tell a really great year group is coming together!
Even the 0:3 defeat against Seenlandkicker 2013 didn't knock anyone down, because in the last group game we beat SpG. Lohsa/Weißkollm 2:1 and suddenly we were in the match for 9th place. Our expectations were already more than exceeded 🔝🤩👍!!!
When in the decider we swept SC Spremberg off the field 4:0, the jubilation over what had been achieved was huge 👏👏👏
Yes, this new F-youth team will go their way and, together with the coaches and the parents, will simply be an asset to our SGM❤️🤍!!!
We look forward to you starting your FIRST Kreisliga season ☝️🤩⚽️👌
By the way, Seenlandkicker 2013 won this really fine tournament with a 2:1 victory over Königswarthaer SV. CONGRATULATIONS from SGM and thanks for the invitation… we'll gladly come again 🦾😉
