Young guns back in action
Saturday morning belonged this time to the E1 youth and D youth. While the D were fighting for important championship points in Wilthen against SG Wilthen - the E1 team came up against SV Liegau-Augustusbad 1951 e.V. Both Saturday matches were really hard to top in terms of excitement! The D won by the narrowest of margins, 2:1, and were thus able to temporarily claim 2nd place in the table.
Unfortunately the E1 was not quite as lucky and stayed without points in the Kreisoberliga home game. The size of the defeat was acceptable to some extent, since the team didn’t manage to create proper finishing chances today. Next week it goes to Königsbrück/ Laußnitz and there they'll have another chance to do better.
Sunday morning started as one could not wish for better! A deserved away point in Wehrsdorf from our E2 and then the “FIRST WIN” of our F youth team. The little kickers coached by Bärsch/Scharschuch beat SV Post Germania Bautzen e.V. by the narrowest of margins but not undeserved, 3:2, and rewarded themselves for the hard work (in training) over the past weeks. From our point of view, we’d very much like to see this continue!!
The C juniors of SGM then had to finish the matchday at the league leaders FSV Budissa Bautzen e.V. II. Of course that’s always a very difficult task, but there’s no room for despair!!! At the end of the match you can live quite well with the 0:5, after all our kids are not exactly overflowing with confidence after this run of defeats. But now all of the top 5 teams in the league have been played — now it’s time to turn things around and reward themselves again. Next Sunday brings the “derby” at Eichberg against SpG Hochkirch/ Baruth/ Gebelzig!
