What a comeback by Cunewalde's C juniors

WHAT A COMEBACK!!!!

If you werent there, you wouldnt believe it. Ill spare the reader the memory of the last indoor tournament of the C-Jugend, the result was too sad. Thats why nobody expected major improvements over the weekend.

AND THEN THIS!

One squad took part in SV Gauigs indoor tournament and got off to a start, although with memories of past results, losing 1:2 to SV Oberland Spree.

What followed left the traveling fans with their mouths open. Win after win!!! 2nd place in the table was within reach and stayed in our hands until the last game!! Unfortunately we lost that one to TSV 90 Neukirch.

So in the end we finished in a fantastic 3rd place!! BRAVO!! That was a great performance!!

STOP!! IT GETS EVEN BETTER!!!

The second squad had registered for SV Oberlands indoor tournament and faced, in their group, the hosts 2nd team, SC 1911 GrorrF6hrsdorf Fussball and SV Aufbau Kodersdorf. Motivated by the results from Gauig, they didnt want to be outdone.

We won the first game against Oberland 3:0, playing some very high-quality football—those who werent there wont believe it!!!

In the second game the football gods were probably stuck in traffic or who knows what!!! We literally hit the post or crossbar 4–5 times, controlled the opponent, and in the end the scoreboard read 1:2. The last game would decide everything and it ended in a clear 4:0 for Cunewalde.

SEMIFINAL!!

There we faced Coswiger FV and it was not for the faint-hearted!! Shortly before the end Coswig took a 1:0 lead, fortunately our team managed to score the lucky equalizer 1:1!! Penalty shootout!! We had Bianca "KRAKE" Kutschke in goal, who of course saved two and took us into the final!!

In the final we met SpG SV Traktor Malschwitz/ Budissa Kleinbautzen and unfortunately our run ended there. The final was lost 0:2.

That was an amazing weekend for our C-Jugend!
Max finished as top scorer in Gauig and Collin was selected for the All-Star team at the indoor tournament!!
