Football Goldener Oktober Cup 2025
F Youth
Our F youth started on Saturday in the Goldenen Oktober Cup 2025.
In glorious sunshine the boys and girls produced exciting matches and beautiful goals that left the many spectators amazed.
In the end our F1 deservedly stood at the top with 18 points and a 33:0 goal record, comfortably securing the tournament victory. This bodes very well for the future of football in the most beautiful valley of the Upper Lusatia.
Our young F2 fought bravely and never gave up; in the end they still managed to earn one point in a strong field of participants. With this attitude successes will follow in the future.
D Youth
Next it continued with our D youth.
The lineup of teams was somewhat shuffled by last-minute cancellations, but as always it featured high-calibre opponents. Unfortunately our brave-fighting team managed only one victory (2:1 against Sohland-Oppach) and two draws (Budissa and Bischofswerda). The other matches were not successful and ended in defeats.
In the end our team finished "only" in fifth place, but the good development of the boys and girls over recent years was evident—especially considering this is a young D team.
Nevertheless many promising approaches were visible and the team also presented itself well!
G Youth
It was Sunday morning and our G juniors started in the Goldener Herbst Cup.
Our smallest players got off to a flying start and showed, in comparison with the others, that in Cunewalde the youth are already being excellently trained.
This is thanks not only to the children but also to our two coaches. Both Nicole’s have been teaching our youngest the basics of football for years—and doing it so well that it is a pleasure to watch the G youth at training.
E Youth
The crowning finale of the tournament weekend was delivered by our E youth, who wanted to prove themselves in an illustrious field of participants.
Unfortunately the other teams were a bit stronger that day than our boys and girls, so in the end they achieved only a respectable 6th place. But don’t hang your heads — you will continue to climb the development ladder step by step and learn from the tournament.
The club is proud of you!
