Midway through the 25-26 season
It's almost Christmas and the season is at the halfway point for our youth. A lot has happened so far across the many age groups; joy and sorrow have often been close together, as have victories and defeats. But the most important thing is that everyone has fun coming to play and learn football with us. That's why you can see the development the boys and girls make every year, and that in turn gives us, as those responsible, pleasure!

The youngest learn their first steps in football from our two Nicol’s and they showed what they had learned at our Goldener Oktober Cup, where they impressively took first place. No wonder, since our two coaches were very successful footballers themselves!

Our F-youth, which consists of two teams, is doing very well in their respective leagues. The F1 occupies the top spot in the Kreisliga strong pool, so I was told, taking the place in the sun. The F2 is also doing very well in their middle pool! All we can say is: keep it up!

Our E-youth is doing somewhat inconsistently in the middle pool, but we are fielding a very, very young team and a young coaching duo, and as is customary at the SG, in the small-sided area the table position is not the priority — the development of each individual, including the coaches, takes highest priority!

Our D-youth made it into the championship round, where they secured third place. The D-team also consists of many players who could still be playing in the E-youth. Thus they already achieved qualification for the championship round in their transition year — who will stop our boys and girls in the future?

Our C-youth also consists of many players who could still be playing in the D-youth; they are also currently in their transition year. Therefore 6th place with 15 points is very good, especially when you consider the size differences compared to the other teams. On the footballing side we were mostly superior and our players will benefit from that in the coming years! Unfortunately, both the Kreispokal and the Landespokal ended for us in the first round.

What a finale for our B-youth! On the last matchday they made the leap into the championship round! That's an outstanding performance by the players around our coaches Christian and Marius. Now it's a matter of carrying that momentum over the winter break into the championship round and showing there that it wasn't just luck. Unfortunately, in the Kreispokal the team from FSV Bretnig-Hauswalde e.V. was too strong in the round of 16.

We don't want to forget our footballers Mira, Annalena, Bianca and Abigail, who are strengthening the girls' department at Bischofswerdaer FV 08. Therefore we would like to thank the people responsible at BFV for giving our girls the opportunity with the Zweitspielrecht. So anyone who wants to see them play in the future either has to go to Schiebock or will probably see them in higher divisions as well. The sky is the limit!

That's why we don't need to worry about our youth in Cunewalde and the surrounding area! What's important is that you, dear readers of these lines, often show up at the matches. Support our footballers loudly during the games and treat yourselves to something nice at the kiosk.
