Matchday 18 - home match and a special occasion
+++ Matchday 18 - Home match and a special occasion +++
This Saturday, April 25, 2026, the home side SG Motor welcomes the Sportfreunde aus Neukirch.
A look at the table shows that the home team faces a tough task:
The guests sit in a strong third place with 36 points and a goal difference of 57:48. With three wins in a row recently they have also built up a winning streak.
The home side, however, remains in 11th place with 16 points and is still deep in the relegation battle.
In addition, the personnel situation remains strained, as Drechsler, Reise, Brabandt and Säglitz are still out injured.
So it will be a mammoth task for the home Motor side.
But if all deployed players tap into their potential and show the necessary commitment, a win here is certainly within the realm of possibility.
In addition to the home matchday, another highlight takes place on Saturday.
Team manager, caretaker and the club’s good soul Marco „Gebbie“ Gebert will turn 40.
We already thank you here for your commitment and reliability over many decades and hope that you can continue to look after the 1. Männermannschaft der SGM on and off the pitch for many more years to come!
Let’s fight together for the three points and then celebrate our Gebbie properly.
Kick-off on our home artificial turf is at 3:00 PM.
See you Saturday at the sports ground!
