Tournament of SV Post Germania Bautzen
Nice little training tournament to kick off the indoor season
New year – a fresh start in 2022. After having to wait almost two years to be active in a sports hall again, it finally seems to be happening this season. Our coaching team around coach Riccardo gladly followed the short-notice call from SV Post Germania Bautzen to take part in a small training tournament. With as many as two teams we wanted to see what fruits our youth development is bearing. Apart from the hosts SV Post Germania Bautzen, SV 1896 Großdubrau and the Kreisoberliga side SV Grün Weiß Hochkirch also took part with two teams. The matches were played in a round-robin format.
There were some really lively games and the coaches and supervisors could see and feel the joy of playing. Close matches and really beautiful goals were admired. Clearly our little Granaten were the obvious underdogs, but that wasn’t important today. What mattered to our coach was match practice, implementing the instructions and the fun of playing. The kids fulfilled all of that brilliantly. Coaches Riccardo, Marcel and Robert could once again be very proud of our little Granaten.
The nicest compliment, of course, is when it comes from the opponent. The other teams are happy if SG Motor becomes a serious opponent again in the near future! If we all keep working like this, we will soon be able to celebrate successes again — and hopefully with spectators!!!! Thanks to Bautzen for the invitation and we’ll see each other again in 2 weeks when SG Motor hosts its own.
With that in mind, stay healthy and SPORT FREI
