D-Junior Tournament Cunewalder-Indoor Soccer Tournament 2022
The D youth had the chance to face high-quality opponents on Saturday afternoon. Among others, Dresdner SC and Budissa Bautzen accepted the invitation.
SG Motor’s D1 made a statement right away in the first game with a 0:0 against the DSC! Unfortunately the two remaining group games were lost, although there were hardly any differences in play. The team gave everything; the goals conceded came after unlucky mistakes — there could have been more. In the end, in the match for 7th place they gave everything once more – the football gods were on Holtendorfer SV’s side. We lost 0:2!
D2 also started with a draw against Budissa Bautzen, but they were able to win their remaining group matches convincingly and thus advanced to the semi-final. In a tight game they lost 2:0 to FSV Neusalza-Spremberg. The disappointment among the children was huge and they had to be quickly encouraged, because the match for 3rd place was already next. In a close game we beat the SV Oberland Spree 2 side to take third place.
In the final SV Oberland Spree 1 prevented a double victory for FSV Neusalza-Spremberg that day and were crowned champions!!
In the individual awards our goalkeeper BIANCA KUTSCHKE was chosen as Best Goalkeeper!!
The football department thanks the players of SG Motor, the coaches Christian Seibt, Matthias Bär and Torsten Kloß, as well as the diligent helpers who ensured the perfect running of the tournament!!
