Commentary on the development of youth football at SG Motor Cunewalde
After the end of the indoor tournaments I would like to say a few words about the youth work of SG Motor and its future.
I had the opportunity to experience the performances of our footballers over the entire weekend; the children's enthusiasm, the sparkle in their eyes and the palpable pride in being members of Spielgemeinschaft Motor filled me with pride, as did the preparatory work of the parents and the football department!!
The G-Jugend showed a joy of play and a love of football that probably only the little ones can muster. Here we, as SG Motor Cunewalde, must warmly thank the two coaches Nicole Kocksch and Nicole Jauerneck for their patience.
In the F- and E-Jugend, technical refinements were on display, which the coaches of Budissa aus Bautzen observed with amazement. Initial attempts to poach players have begun!! But for us it is not only about success, but about education and strengthening the community. The children's joy over small things like stickers, new jerseys and other items is priceless. Our thanks here also go to the coaching team Riccardo Müller, Robert Bonk and Marcel Paukstädt. I personally hope that our trainee coach Riccardo Bachmann has caught the bug and will take up a coaching role.
Next season our D team will start in the Kreisoberliga; this is proof of the excellent work of the coaches Christian Seibt, Matthias Bär and Torsten Kloß, who, despite the corona restrictions, made training possible for the children and helped them not to lose courage and enjoyment. The best part is that the children's technical training continued to progress, which is reflected in the results.
Everyone feared losing members during the pandemic, but the opposite has happened. We have been able to increase membership in the youth section and children from the surrounding villages have come to us of their own accord! This is where the good training becomes apparent. The commitment of the coaches on and off the pitch cannot be appreciated highly enough!! But the football department also wants to support the coaches. It was able to enlist Eberhard Schulze, who has agreed to offer courses in which he passes on tricks and tips from his wealth of experience. The first sessions have already been held. Furthermore, we offer the coaches the opportunity to obtain the C-Lizenz and cover the costs for all required courses.
This brings us to our 5-year goal, which, in short, includes strengthening the community, good training facilities, and one team in every age group. We want to develop football in Cunewalde in the direction of a performance center despite being a village club. This includes extra training for talented children, training camps for everyone and specific goalkeeper training.
Because community comes above all, I was delighted by the parents' enthusiasm to help and to be there for the children and the club!! For that I would like to thank everyone, because without the support of the parents club football in Cunewalde would be at a standstill. I was able to have pleasant conversations about club work and the willingness to help shape it.
