Cunewalder E-youth in Hoyerswerda
Phew, the interested writer first had to take a deep breath! After three cognacs he had calmed down enough to write the report.
For our boys it was off to Hoyerswerdaer FC, who had invited teams to the LebensRäume Hoyerswerda eG-Cup.
The draw gave us a strong group with SC BOREA Dresden, FC Energie Cottbus and Bischofswerdaer FV 08. So they laced up their football boots and off they went.
We won the first match 2:0 against Schiebock, which was a good start. Unfortunately two narrow and above all UNNECESSARY 0:1 defeats followed against Borea and Energie Cottbus. Once again the boys didn’t reward themselves for their style of play and their footballing ability!!
The placement round followed; finally die E rewarded themselves and won 3:0 against TJ Slovan Vesec, which meant a game for 5th place!! Again Bischofswerda were our opponents; this time we won 1:0 and finished the tournament in 5th place.
Standings
1. SV Zeißig 1993 e. V.
2. Hoyerswerdaer FC
3. Energie Cottbus
4. SC Borea Dresden
5. SG Motor Cunewalde
6. Bischofswerdaer FV 08
7. DJK blau-weiß Wittichenau e.V.
8. TJ Slovan Vesec
The writer and the friends of the Cunewalder football are unanimous!! The Cunewalder way is the right one! We can now keep up with teams we used to only dream about years ago.
